Obituary: Sunil Itty Varghese


NEW YORK: Sunil Itty Varghese (28 ) son of Baby and Annamma Varghese, Kallupalathinkal House, Kottayam residing at 28 Brookside Drive West, Harriman, NY was born in New York had passed away on March 17, 2006.

The funeral services will be on this Wednesday March 22, 2006. Metropolitans Dr. Thomas Mar Makarios, Mathews Mar Barnabas, Zachariah Mar Nicholovos, Zachariah Mar Theophilos, will be at the wake and for funeral services.

Sunil is survived by his father Baby Varghese, his mother Annamma Varghese, sister Nisse Varghese, brother-in-law Shinu Varghese, and countless family and friends.

Sunil was an extraordinary individual. He was a devout Christian and served God as an altar boy at St. Thomas Orthodox Church, Yonkers. His dedication to his family and friends was always first and foremost. All those around him could feel the excitement he exuded in the anticipation of becoming an uncle. Sunil had a deep passion for music, politics, sports and art. He will always be remembered for his passion of life, commitment to those he loved, an expansive wealth of knowledge and an unrivaled sense of wit and humor.

Growing up, Sunil attended Monroe Woodbury High School and graduated in 1996 as a member of the National Honor Society. He went on to pursue a degree in business at New York University graduating Cum Laude in 2000 with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Finance from the Leonard N. Stern School of Business. Sunil started his career as an intern at BNP Paribas specializing in European Banking and the implementation of the Euro. Continuing his financial career, Sunil was able to take advantage of an opportunity at JP Morgan in equity research where he was part of the Consumer Retail team that was Institutional Investor ranked. Craving to leave the field of research, Sunil accepted a position at 1861 Capital Management, LLC where he thrived as a municipal bond trader.
