BENGALURU: The Meltho Calendar for 2015 has been launched from the blessed hands of Bengaluru Diocese Metropolitan Dr Abraham Mar Seraphim on December 6, 2014 during the occasion of Zamar 2014, the annual Christmas carol event.

Fr Varghese P Idichandy, thematic designer of Meltho calendar, was also present on the dais. Meltho Calendar 2015 was launched both in long and desktop formats.

“The 2015 Meltho ( (meaning “the Word”) calendar focuses on a brief study of the canonical lents and comes out during the decade celebration of the Bengaluru Orthodox Convention,” says Fr Idichandy, thematic designer and Vicar, St Gregorios Orthodox Church, Mathikere.

Fr Idichandy says the fruitful exploration of new directions makes the decade-long collection worthy and resourceful. The team who worked behind the scene consists of members from different religion, which proves the coexistence of man as a united body. I would like to thank the team members who supported me, in its aesthetic designing and all the volunteered sponsors who made this a reality.

The supporting team for Meltho 2015 consisted of Arun G (2008- 10), Manu V (2011-14), Biju T Sam (2014–15) and Siju, National Printers (2015). The first Melto convention was held in January 2006. The calendar also lists the Lectionary for 2015 with Bible readings for each of the 12 months.

Also on the occasion were Malayalam cine artist Lalu Alex the chief guest and music director Devadas as the special guest.
